I really enjoy Women Entrepreneurs of Oregon (WEO). This is a group of women who own their own businesses and have to make them work. This is not for hobbyists, these are women who are passionate about their business and skills.
Tonight was their quarterly networking event and expo. Expos always include raffles. Raffle items are donated by those exhibiting. My friend Barbara Barde of Barde Career Solutions joined me. I dragged her in as a new member. This scores points for me and gives me a fun person to attend these events with.
If you network, I highly recommend dragging a friends into the group with you. Chip in on their membership to ensure you always have someone fun to recap the event with on the way home.

Me? Me - what did I get. So glad you asked. I got a goodie bag; the same one anyone could get from the organic max-pad distributor, Winalite. I really wanted the bottle of wine, free earrings, Quickbooks 2009 - but nooooo. I have my little package of feminine hygiene products. Better than a stick in the eye.
