I received a gift in my email today. Actually a prod in my pattootie because I haven't recorded my own classes on this topic yet. Lynda.com offers some great classes, depends on the instructor. Some are snoozers, many are VERY helpful.
Twitter Essential Training explains how to use Twitter; an online microblogging service that offers a way to share short bites of information instantly with others. Instructor Maria Langer first explains what Twitter is and how its service is used by individuals and businesses. She demonstrates how to sign up, send and read Twitter updates (also called “tweets”), and build a network of friends. The training describes how to get the most out of Twitter by customizing an individual profile, setting options, and tapping into third-party resources that make it easier to follow and send updates.
Topics Include:
- Uploading an image or avatar to an account
- Setting options to meet specific needs
- Using third-party resources to track and send updates
- Sharing photos with friends and family
- Adding Twitter feeds to web sites
- Including hyperlinks in tweets
- Following and blocking users
- Using Twitter-enabled mobile phones

Most people should do a little Twitter training just so they know what to do and what NOT to do.
