In Appreciation of Bill Mooney
Today I heard that a wonderful human and professional has left us. Bill Mooney has brought so much to consultants, marketing professionals, businesses and friends over the decades that he will leave a void of community. His tagline was this: Helping consultants build profitable practices.
A bit about Mr. Mooney:
Since 1987, William T. (Bill) Mooney, Jr., CMC, has directed the Center for Consulting & Professional Practices, a Division of William Mooney Associates. He was a management consultant and executive coach for established consulting and other professional problem-solving businesses. He was a business startup consultant and business coach for entrepreneurs starting a consulting or other problem solving practice. He also was a consulting career counselor helping clients of career and outplacement organizations with the consulting option.
He helped everyone be better at what they did. Not only was this his business, it was how he lived. He quietly helped countless people with their careers and businesses.
Those who knew him are better for it. Those who didn't missed out on a treasure.

The Christmas Mart - Big Bear, California
The Christmas Mart is an institution in Big Bear, CA. This gift shop has been around since 1971 and needed to improve their web presence. Their old site used very outdated designs that only gave unnecessary clicks leading to cluttered content. The new site and the optimization has increased online sales and given their annual customers a way to shop without having to be there.
Front Range Animal Hospital
This Colorado animal hospital site that conveys their true love for animals as well as offering pet owner education. They used images taken by another client, James Smith to show the loving faces of their patients.
Prowrite-PR public relations
Christel Hall is a Public Relations professional who wanted to stand out and make it easy for potential clients to see her services.
Through the use of her carefully written copy and large images, she is very pleased with what she has to present to clients and potential clients.
Lynmar Advertising Specialties and Promotions
Advertising and promotional products site.
They sell tens of thousands of products
Also working on an aggressive search engine campaign, social marketing media blitz and more. It's working! Sales are increasing, traffic is up.
Seda Ink and its alter-ego - Lil' Beastees
Artist, Alison Seda has two sides of her talent. She is a fine artist with a focus on pen and ink drawings and she creates fantastic shirts for children with her animal designs.
She needed a website to convey both personalities and link to her PayPal account because a merchant account isn't warranted at this point.
She's fond of the ease of PayPal so we stayed with it to keep her stress down and her cost down, as well. She's pleased with both sites and thinks they accomplished both plans.
Perry Property Advisors
Recently redesigned the site to simplify and really focus on the properties.
Created new mini-sites for each new property listing.
Enewsletters and all printed materials match this new clean look to the site.
National REO Brokers Association
80% of the site is for members only. Members can update their profiles.
The entire application process is now automated, including reminders for expired information.
New member applications automation was one of the biggest areas to focus upon.

Sales Lead Management Association
This membership site has grown a lot over the past year. The original programming hadn't planned on the growth and it needed to be updated, streamlined and optimized. Already membership has increased in less than a month of the change. Traffic is increasing and we have locked down their members only pages through a simple script.
This site fell somewhere between needing an HTML site and a full-blown content management site. The budget won't allow for the full-blown CMS as this point, so we compromised and everyone is pleased!
Sponsorship is up and it is easy to show the sponsors how their information is tracking through Google Analytics and other tools.
